SQL Server database Manager/administrator - Lindenwold, NJ

CobbleStone Software is looking for a dynamic addition to their fast-growing IT department.  This candidate will join a results-oriented, fun environment with responsibilities ranging across multiple aspects of the business.  This is a challenging technical position which requires advanced troubleshooting and communication skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and independently. The SQL server database administrator is responsible for a range of support, installation, monitoring, performance optimization, audit, and troubleshooting activities under the supervision of the IT Director.  The ability to learn new skills quickly, work independently, have strong troubleshooting skills, be well organized, and possess great communication skills to clearly communicate and understand requirements are required for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

- Installing and upgrading database server(s) and/or application tools

- Install new databases, maintain existing databases, and transfer data between databases as needed

- Creating and managing databases, user accounts, permissions, etc.

- Monitoring and optimizing performance of databases

- Maintain results of database(s) by setting and enforcing standards and controls

- Ensuring compliance with database security through policies, procedures and controls

- Managing backup and recovery strategy for the databases and regular testing and auditing

- Migrating databases to new hardware and new versions of software

- Providing technical support for both CobbleStone Software databases and related applications

- Creating reports by querying from databases as needed/required

- Review and audit SQL Server(s) and database(s) event logs and performance metrics

- Assisting with security audits

KSA (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES) QUALIFICATIONS:

Varied technical knowledge and skills required in the following areas:

- Knowledge and use of data maintenance

- Knowledge and use of database management

CobbleStone Software is looking for a dynamic addition to their fast-growing IT department.  This candidate will join a results-oriented, fun environment with responsibilities ranging across multiple aspects of the business.  A professional software development position, the full-stack developer (.NET) is responsible for a range of development and support activities under the supervision of the IT Director including designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications and components. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and decision making.  The position is primarily responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting all aspects of the CobbleStone suite of applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

- Design, code, test, and document Web and Windows Software Applications

- Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement

- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting defects

- Create technical specifications and test plans

- Create new and extend existing operational documentation

- Assist with maintenance and performance of software systems

- Provide software application support

- Perform and support application installations and upgrades

- Assist with technical aspects of client implementations
